Change to API recently error messages now showing as 'Array' no 'this field is required' text?

Hi,
We have built a website that has a number of wufoo forms on it, all submitting data via the API. Up until recently these worked fine. However I discovered today that the error messages are now outputting the text ‘Array’ and nothing else , there is no ‘this field is required text ’ anymore. We haven’t changed anything so I am wondering if this is due to a change with the API on the wufoo end.
